Few things are as satisfying as pistachios. Few things are as frustrating as a pistachio without an open seam in the shell. It becomes an exercise in acceptance and emotional detachment to merely set aside the uncracked pistachio in the ever-growing pile of successfully emptied shells, and to move on with an open heart, and a clear conscious. There can always be more pistachios.
